Friends Make Life More Fun!

Homeschooling gives our kids an incredible foundation—but finding a consistent, reliable peer group can be tough.

That’s where Social Homeschooler comes in.

Social Homeschooler bridges that gap by providing a structured, screen-free enrichment environment where older youth can build a positive peer culture and develop essential interpersonal communication skills. Through our weekly facilitated interactive sessions and experiential learning days, we offer a dedicated, independent environment designed to support your student’s social-emotional growth and connection during the homeschool week.

Program Logistics & Schedule…

  • Academic Term: Operating September (launching the week after Labor Day) through May, serving students ages 11–17.

  • Weekly Schedule: Every Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

  • Program Format: 100% Drop-Off. Sessions operate under a director-facilitated, student-led framework. This independent setting is intentionally designed to cultivate personal autonomy, peer accountability, real-world social skills, and youth leadership by allowing the student cohort to collectively navigate their own activities and group dynamics under adult supervision.

  • The Location Corridor: To serve families across the region, we utilize public municipal spaces and regional facilities throughout the South Orlando, Downtown Orlando, and St. Cloud / Kissimmee Corridor—offering a convenient centralized midpoint for families across Orange and Osceola counties.

  • Monthly Instructional Cadence: We operate on a predictable 4-week monthly rotation (with adjustments made for major holidays as noted on the club calendar):

    • Weeks 1, 2, and 4 (Interactive Days): Coordinated indoor or outdoor sessions featuring cooperative group strategy games, modern team logic trivia, hands-on creative elective resources, and collaborative team challenges.

    • Week 3 (Experiential Learning Outing): Our dedicated monthly excursion where program participants meet at local interactive community venues and experiential facilities to practice situational confidence and real-world peer networking.

BUILD GENUINE FRIENDSHIPS

Say goodbye to isolated park dates where kids don’t click. We provide a consistent, weekly peer group designed specifically for older tweens and teens to form deep, lasting bonds. By meeting every single week with the same cohort, your child moves past the awkward “small talk” stage and builds a reliable circle of true friends.

GAIN SOCIAL CONFIDENCE

Social skills are like muscles—they require practice. Through facilitated, non-digital group strategy games, cooperative trivia, and monthly real-world excursions, your teen will naturally develop active listening, communication, and situational confidence. We provide the guardrails; they build the confidence.

POSITIVE PEER CULTURE

This isn’t a high-pressure academic class, an intense sports team, or a chaotic one-off park date. Our program operates exactly like a traditional school elective. We focus entirely on hands-on experiential learning, collaborative problem-solving, and building a supportive social circle—meaning zero homework, zero testing, and zero academic pressure for your teen.

INDEPENDENCE ENGAGED!

Cultivate personal autonomy, self-direction, and peer accountability in a structured, independent environment. Our student-led format encourages youth to take ownership of their social space and collaborate naturally. While your teen is actively building leadership skills with their peers, your Tuesday afternoon is entirely your own—with zero mandatory parent volunteer hours or co-op duties.

Program Perks…

Exclusive Student Perks Included with Every Enrollment:

  • The Official Student Gear Drop: Every teen should feel like they truly belong from day one. To build a strong cohort identity and ensure high visibility for greater safety during our experiential learning excursion days, all officially registered students receive a complimentary custom gear package! This includes an official program logo unisex T-shirt, a custom cap, and a durable drawstring gear bag to hold their weekly activity materials.

  • Complimentary Weekly Refreshments: No need to pack extra snacks. To keep energy high and create a welcoming, interactive atmosphere, complimentary teen-approved afternoon snacks and drinks are provided by the director at every stationary session at no additional cost to families.

Frequently Asked Questions

A social enrichment program requires a healthy group dynamic to be fun for the kids. We require a minimum cohort of 5 paying members registered and processed through Step Up (vendor approval pending as of June 1, 2026) or Stripe by August 7, 2026, to launch the school year. If the minimum cohort is not met by the deadline, the session will be canceled, and 100% of your PEP fund reservations or registration fees will be released.

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, malicious exclusion, or disrespect toward venues. Because this is an enrichment program rather than an instructional classroom, we enforce a strict “Two Strikes” rule. A student’s first behavioral infraction results in a formal parent notification; a second infraction results in permanent dismissal from the program without a refund.

Safety is our absolute baseline. All families must execute a certified digital Activity Waiver and Release, an Emergency Medical Authorization, and a strict Student Code of Conduct before attending.

Yes.
Social Homeschooler runs like an official school elective, and consistent participation is expected. Building a close-knit friend group requires consistency. Program participants are expected to attend weekly. Frequent unexcused absences disrupt the group dynamic and may result in forfeiture or participation in the program.

We understand life happens—just communicate if you’ll miss a session. But if a member frequently misses events without notice, their ability to participate may not be renewed for the next term and no refunds or proration of funds will be provided.

No. Social Homeschooler is a secular enrichment program open to all homeschool families, regardless of religious background. No religious material or messaging is included in program activities.

This is ideal for tweens and teens ages 11 – 17 who:

  • Want a real, in-person social life

  • Are kind, open-minded, and respectful

  • Enjoy activities that mix games, light physical activity, creativity, and conversation

  • Can show up consistently and commit to being part of the group culture

Social Homeschooler is designed specifically for homeschoolers ages 11–17. If possible, based on the actual group age-band makeup, we’ll do the activities breakout-style to help different age ranges connect comfortably within their peer group.

If we have an outdoor activity planned and the weather is unsafe or uncooperative, we’ll either reschedule or swap the planned activity for an indoor backup, IF possible. If there needs to be a change due to weather, rescheduled program activities may be on a different day of the week or time or another week may be added to the club meeting calendar. IF this occurs, please be patient with us as we work out the most feasible option.

Yes, entirely. Middle and high school students build authentic relationships faster and express themselves more freely when given healthy independence. To protect your privacy and our operational flow, parents are required to drop students off at the venue and return promptly at 3:00 PM.

We meet weekly on Tuesdays from 1p to 3p, in person, at various locations throughout Central Florida. Primary areas will be the downtown Orlando / South Orlando / St. Cloud / Kissimmee areas.

Some weeks may be held at familiar spots; others will rotate depending on the activity. Once you’re fully registered, you’ll receive access to the full details of activities as they’re released via the Social Homeschooler private calendar.

Once per month, our students take their collaborative skills into the real world! During our regular Tuesday timeframe (1:00 PM – 3:00 PM), the student cohort meets at pre-coordinated interactive community venues and regional experiential facilities.

Rather than a static controlled setting, these off-site sessions utilize dynamic, team-building environments—such as cooperative escape rooms, collaborative group strategy spaces, and interactive indoor sports and physics complexes. These curated experiences are specifically designed to help older youth cultivate situational confidence, practice real-world communication, and build peer networking skills in public settings.

Just like our stationary weeks, these outings are 100% drop-off and fully facilitated by the director. Best of all, 100% of the group venue entry and facility registration fees are completely covered by your monthly program fee—meaning there are zero out-of-pocket costs or surprise bills for families on outing days.

Our program is entirely all-inclusive. We do not believe in surprise out-of-pocket expenses, hidden supply fees, or mandatory parent volunteer hours.

  • The Annual Registration Fee ($50, due once per school year upon enrollment): This required fee covers student enrollment administration, program onboarding, roster placement, and the secure processing of student safety and liability documentation.

  • The Monthly Enrichment Program Fee ($245/month): This fee covers the complete weekly program experience, instructional resources, and curriculum delivery. Your monthly fee includes all facility registration and entry fees for our monthly off-site experiential learning excursions, as well as the complete cost of all hands-on manipulatives, cooperative learning resources, interactive group logic assets, and secondary elective supplies and equipment.

Social Homeschooler is an in-person, weekly enrichment program for Central Florida homeschoolers ages 11–17 who want to cultivate genuine peer connections and develop real-world leadership skills. Structured like a student-led elective, our program utilizes a director-facilitated, peer-driven framework. This intentional environment allows students to collaborate, guide their own group dynamics, and build social confidence through self-directed challenges and cooperative team exercises.
